Tackling Forest Fire Risks: The Role of Forestry Weather Stations in Early Warning

Forest fires pose a huge threat to the forest ecosystem and can cause incalculable losses in a short period of time. The occurrence of forest fires is affected by various factors, among which meteorological conditions are one of the crucial prerequisites. Dry air, high-temperature environments, and relatively strong wind speeds all create conditions for the occurrence and spread of forest fires. For example, when the relative humidity of the air is lower than 40%, the temperature is higher than 30°C, and the wind speed reaches a certain level, even a tiny spark may trigger a large-scale forest fire.

Its data collector has the characteristic of ultra-low power consumption, with a static operating power consumption of less than 50 microamperes. It is equipped with a 7-inch Android touch display screen and can be conveniently connected to sensors that comply with the modbus485 protocol.

This system is equipped with the MPPT automatic power point tracking technology for solar charging management and comes with a 3-meter carbon steel bracket. It can collect and record key meteorological parameters such as air temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind speed, and wind direction in real time, providing accurate data support for the assessment of forest fire danger levels, the early warning, prevention, and control of fire situations, as well as emergency response.

The 3-meter carbon steel bracket is connected by docking two sections of flange plates, which is stable and durable. With the SMS alarm function, once the monitored data exceeds the limit, it will send an SMS to the designated mobile phone to promptly notify the relevant personnel. The protective box made of stainless steel has the characteristics of corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and its waterproof level reaches IP66, enabling it to adapt to various harsh field environments.
