The Underground Waterlogging Monitoring Station is an intelligent monitoring system based on IoT technology, designed to address urban waterlogging problems caused by extreme weather. Through integrated sensing and intelligent services, this system provides real-time and accurate waterlogging monitoring and early warning functions for flood-prone areas such as urban low-lying areas, underpass tunnels, and overpasses, effectively supporting urban flood prevention and traffic management.
The system consists of a monitoring host, waterlogging monitor, power supply system, LED display screen, and cloud platform. The monitoring host supports municipal power or solar power supply with power consumption as low as 25 watts, adapting to a wide temperature working environment from -40℃ to 80℃. It has rich interface expansion capabilities, including connecting LED dual-color displays, multiple analog and digital inputs, water immersion detection, and relay control, which can drive sound and light alarms and voice broadcasting equipment to achieve on-site warning and remote control. As the core sensing device, the waterlogging monitor adopts an IP68 protection grade stainless steel shell, directly buried underground at flood-prone points, capable of accurately measuring water level changes within 1.5 meters with an error of only 1 centimeter and millimeter-level resolution. Its built-in battery design allows it to work continuously for up to five years in non-waterlogged conditions and upload data to the cloud platform through LoRA wireless communication technology.
The advantage of this system lies in its high level of integration and intelligence. Through underground deployment, sensors are not affected by surface environments, enabling stable and concealed continuous data collection. Combined with cloud platforms for multi-monitoring point data fusion analysis, it helps municipal departments comprehensively grasp urban waterlogging situations and achieve early warning and scientific scheduling. Traffic management departments can also issue travel advisories through media channels based on real-time waterlogging information, effectively guiding vehicles and pedestrians to avoid dangerous sections, thereby reducing economic losses and safety risks caused by waterlogging.
This system has wide applicability, not only suitable for common scenarios such as urban roads, residential communities, and underground parking lots, but also can be integrated into the overall framework of smart city construction, providing reliable data support and decision-making basis for urban governance and flood prevention.
